- Can you spray Guard80 on electrical products? The product contains small amounts of water so exercise caution when spraying on electrical equipment.
- Can you spray on fabrics? Tests have shown compatibility with cotton, leather, carpet, felt. Always test on a small area before using in large areas.
- Does Guard80/Hand Guard work on COVID-19? COVID-19 is currently not available for commercial testing. But the raw materials used have been effective on other strains of coronavirus.
- Can you spray Guard80 on varnished/waxed surfaces? The alcohol-based nature of Guard 80 can strip waxes/varnishes/coatings away from surfaces. Always test before use.
- Are your products alcohol based? Hand Guard and Guard80 are both alcohol based.
- Does Guard80 comply with EN14476? Yes.
- Is Guard80 effective on bacteria? Guard80 will kill 99.9% of bacteria – EN1276 and EN1650.
- Is Guard80 effective on viruses? Guard80 is effectible on 99.9% of envelope viruses including feline SARS-CoV-2.
- How long should the test be conducted with Guard80? Ideally 24 hours should be allowed.
- Does Guard80 need to be wiped with a cloth? The tests for Guard80 are done on a 5 min contact time, wiping before 5 minutes will not guarantee full sanitisation.
- How long is the product flammable for? Consult the SDS and perform a COSHH assessment based on individual use.
- Has Hand Guard been dermatologically tested? We are currently waiting for space in the tests labs to test for EN1500 – labs are backlogged due to coronavirus.
- Is Hand Guard/Guard 80 cruelty free? We do not conduct any animal testing on our products.
